Our Board Members
ChildFund New Zealand has a voluntary board of directors who provide advice and strategy. Each person is selected on the basis of their skills and expertise. Board members typically serve 4 year terms.
Ron Hooton
Ron is CEO of ProCare Health Limited and has a diverse background in general management and information systems in the banking, telecommunication, insurance, defence and health sectors.
Ron is currently Chair of ChildFund New Zealand.

Rob Campbell
Rob was recently appointed General Manager of Dilworth Trust Board and prior to this held a number of senior roles at ASB Bank over a 20 year career.

Anita Chan
Anita is a Family Law barrister specialising in complex cases involving care of children and relationship property. She is regularly appointed by the Court to act as 'Lawyer for Child' in difficult cases. Anita is a past chair of the New Zealand Law Society's Family Law Section.

Geoff Copstick
Geoff is currently a director of the Gallagher Group in Hamilton and has 20 years of executive-level finance experience with New Zealand companies. He has specialised in corporate governance, risk management and corporate treasury operations.

Michelle Corse-Scott
Michelle is Acting Head of Corporate Core at Westpac New Zealand Limited. Prior to this recent appointment, Michelle specialised in finance law advising clients on corporate lending, securitisation, structured finance and capital market debt issues.

Lauren James
Lauren has extensive advertising and media experience, having worked at the executive level across a number of disciplines within the sector, including the role of General Manager of Advertising Sales for TVNZ.

Deborah Morris-Travers
Deborah is Advocacy Manager for Barnardos and works with Every Child Counts to promote the interests of New Zealand children. She has been a Member of Parliament and has also been active in the international movement to ban landmines and cluster munitions.

Chris Seed
Chris is a deputy secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has served in a number of diplomatic posts in Australia, the Middle East, Europe and the Pacific, including as New Zealand High Commissioner in Papua New Guinea.

David Taylor
David is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate at Morrison Low, a specialist Australasian management consultancy. He previously held executive positions in financial service organisations and was a partner at Ernst & Young.
David is currently Chair of the global ChildFund Alliance.

Patrons Lord and Lady Farrow
Tony and Heather have been involved with ChildFund New Zealand since its inception in 1991 when Tony was its founding chairman. Tony retired from the International Board and ChildFund New Zealand Board in 2007.
Tony founded Farrow Jamison executive search and previously held chief executive positions in industrial companies. He chaired an Economic Advisory Committee to Government over a three year period. In 1976, he was made Sir Aiono Farrow in recognition of his services to the Government and people of Samoa.
Heather spent many years as a nurse and has a special affinity with children. Heather has travelled extensively with Tony to ChildFund development projects around the world and both are passionately committed to helping children in need.
