ABOUT Aguida

Aguida is a bright little girl who comes from a catholic family. She lives with her father Afonso, together with two sisters and four brothers, in a village called Halihun, of Timor Leste rural area. Her mother has passed away. The family speaks Tetun, the Timorese official language. Their simple house is self-built with one bedroom, the walls are made of palm branches, the roof is covered with palm leaves, has earthen floors, and no electricity. Toilet is outside the house and their water is collected from the well. Afonso is a farmer without a permanent income to support his family. He relies on their farm to provide for the family daily needs. Aguida is not at the school age yet. Her hobby is playing with dolls. Her family calls her Ina.
