ABOUT Alexandra

Alexandra is a bright little girl who comes from a catholic family. She lives with her parents Ancelmus and Helena, together with one sister and one brother, in a village called Halihun, of Timor Leste rural area. The family speaks Tetun, the Timorese official language. Their simple house is self-built with one bedroom, the walls are made of palm branches, the roof is covered with palm leaves, has earthen floors, and no electricity. Toilet is outside the house and their water is collected from the well. Ancelmus is a farmer without a permanent income to support his family. He relies on their farm to provide for the family daily needs. Helena is a housewife and not in a position to help out with the finances. Alexandra is attending primary school. She would like to become a midwife when she grows up. Her hobby is playing with dolls. Her family and friends call her Sandra. Your support will give an enormous opportunity for this child to have a better future.
