ABOUT Agustinho

Agustinho is a bright young boy who comes from a catholic family. He lives with his parents Alberto and Domingas, together with two sisters and four brothers, in a village called Fatuk Oan, of Timor Leste rural area. The family speaks Bunak, the language spoken in the region. Their simple house is self-built with one bedroom, the walls are made with palm branches, the roof is covered with palm leaves, has earthen floors, and no electricity. Toilet is outside the house, and their water is collected from the well. Alberto is a farmer without a permanent income to support his family. He relies on their farm to provide for the family daily needs. Domingas is a housewife and not in a position to help out with the finances. Agustinho is attending primary school. His ambition is to join the police when he grows up. His hobby is playing soccer. His family and friends call him Agus.
