How does Project Sponsorship work?
Project Sponsors help ChildFund to fund specific assignments in the places we are working. Sometimes this happens right alongside child sponsorship and can be as simple as building a well, or putting a roof on a school. Other times community rather than individual child sponsorship is more effective - perhaps it is supplying food and blankets to children and their families trapped in a disaster zone or trying to help children brutalised by war to find some sense of childhood again.
How much does Project Sponsorship cost?
Project Sponsors support ChildFund with a monthly donation from as little as $10 per month. Project Sponsors who are enjoying making a difference are welcome to become Child Sponsors any time.
How long will Project Sponsorship last?
Sometimes Project Sponsorship ends when we complete our work within a community. On other occasions, sponsorship comes to an end when children finish the project or the family move to find better work opportunities. This means that the duration of your support can vary a great deal, although three years is usually the minimum, and seven to eight years the norm.
